I saw Patti live in concert two years ago, three times in one weekend! She was the resident artist at the major Arts Festival here and she did a show of acoustic music/poetry reading, a show reading Allen Ginsberg poetry to music played live by Philip Glass and then a normal (normal??) rock gig with her band. Jesus christ I was in heaven. She played this live and blew my mind. If Kurt were alive, can you imagine what it would have felt like to have the people who blazed the path for you respect your words and message so much they need to speak it too? Amazing.
