Apparently macarons (macaroons?) are the new black. If this excellently cool macaroon design at Melbourne Macaron Competition 2010 is anything to go by, the rest of them must have been so great.

Oh my god. The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art serves Mondrian cake. I would be in heaven.
We all know McDonald’s burgers last forever. I heard all the Today Tonight feature on the guy who kept a McDonald’s burger bun in his garage for ten years and it never got mouldy. I guess I never believed it properly though or it seemed like a bit of an old wives tale seeing as though they ARE edible if you really need to eat at 3am and KFC (my choice of outlet) isn’t around. Because…if you check this art project out by artist Sally Davies, she’s up to Day 137 at the mo and it ain’t looking ANYWHERE near mouldy yet. Not even the chips. This is truly horrendous.

Yar. Nother restaurant. The Eathouse. Thank you to The Blackmail for noting this (why discover in your own town when the internetty vibes allow you to branch out much further..). This one looks fab. I still love Melbourne but……….Sydney’s looking to start coming up trumps again (plus the last time I went, there were a lot more people wearing black. This also bodes well).
